„Meteor“ Cruise Meteor 64/2
Cruise M64 is part of the DFG Special Focus Programme 1144 "From the mantle to the ocean: Energy, material and life cycles at spreading zones", and it has the following scientific goals:

- volcanic and tectonic dynamics of mid-ocean ridges as well as geochemical and biological processes at hydrothermal vents are to be determined in detail
- relationships between hydrothermal processes and volcanic activities along the ridge axis shall be investigated

Forschungsfahrt Meteor 64/2
Die Forschungsfahrt M64 ist Teil des DFG Schwerpunktprogramms 1144 "Vom Mantel zum Ozean: Energie-, Material- und Lebenszyklen an Spreizungsachsen" und hat folgende Ziele:

- die vulkanische und tektonische Dynamik Mittelozeanischer Rücken sowie die geochemischen und biologischen Prozesse an aktiven hydrothermalen Austritten sollen detailliert bestimmt werden

- die Zusammenhänge zwischen den hydrothermalen Prozessen und der vulkanischen Aktivität auf der Rückenachse soll untersucht werden
